This is a great club, well attended and with a wonderful venue location. Thanks to all who came and joined in so enthusiastically. ------------------------------------- Wednesday 2nd November 2011 - Rotherham Open Arts Festival Festival Gallery, Old Markets Building, Corporation Street, Rotherham S60 1NG One of a series of FREE concerts being held here. Also appearing this evening were Paul and Liz Davenport, and Tina McKevitt and Matt Hegarty. ------------------------------------- Thursday 20th October 2011 - Princess Royal Folk Club, The Princess Royal, 43 Slinn Street, Crookes, Sheffield, S10 1NW A return to this friendly club where Phil has appeared several times before. Tonight he was joined by Dave Bowie Jr on the double bass. It was a good turn out and they pair received a warm welcome by familiar club members and quite a few new faces. ------------------------------------- Wednesday 19th October 2011- Fundraising event for East Africa famine appeal (Bradford) A nice evening with a small but generous audience who sang along and made a great contribution to the night. It was great to see a few old friends and some new faces too. We opened the afternoon at the cricket club, to a full house and then later we followed Stanley Accrington (a very funny and musical man) upstairs in the Horse and Farrier. I'm booked for next year's festival. ------------------------------------- Friday 1st July 2011 - The Abbey Festival, The Abbey Inn, Pollard Lane, LEEDS LS13 1EQ A great end to the first night of this popular free festival at the Abbey Inn. Phil played way after last orders, to a wild crowd who kept wanting more! Thanks y'all. The charity collection was for St George's Crypt refuge centre for the homeless, in Leeds. ------------------------------------- Thursday 30th June 2011 (mid-day) - Leeds Day of Action, City Square, Wellington Street LEEDS LS1 1PJ An unusual one this... Phil was asked to finish off the rally in Leeds City Square by performing a few songs, in support of the protest against the public service cuts being proposed by the current government. Great turn-out, strong community spirit. I was very happy to do this one. ------------------------------------ Thursday 23rd June 2011 - Princess Royal Folk Club, The Princess Royal, 43 Slinn Street, Crookes, Sheffield, S10 1NW A year on from his last visit as guest, a return by Phil to the Princess Royal, this time accompanied by Dave Bowie Jr. on the acoustic double bass. A great night! ------------------------------------- Saturday 16th April 2011 - Craven Acoustic Festival, The Craven Arms, Appletreewick, BD23 6DA A return to this popular and growing festival for Phil, for a second year. A three-day event with all proceeds from collections being donated to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance appeal. A really good fun event. ------------------------------------- Friday 15th April 2011 - Bawtry Phoenix Theatre - Folk and Blues @ the Phoenix, Station Rd, Bawtry, Doncaster, South Yorkshire DN10 6PT We had a great night. I was accompanied by the inspirational Dave Bowie Jr on double bass. A very nice night. ------------------------------------- Tuesday 1st March 2011 8.00-9.00 pm - Chorley Folk - 102.8 fm Chorley FM radio Enjoyed my visit to the Chorley Folk show, hosted by James Blatchley. We played three songs from CD and I did four live. Chatted for an hour or so on air and had a cup of tea. -------------------------------- Monday 21st February 2011 - Skipton Folk Club, The Narrow Boat Inn, 38 Victoria Street , Skipton , BD23 1JE A totally acoustic night in the atmospheric atmospheric room. Never been to the Black Bull before, but I enjoyed it. Played a couple of short sets, to start the afternoon and again a little bit later. Everyone was very friendly and I sold quite a few charity CD singles. Thank you, everyone. -------------------------------------- Thursday 23rd December 2010 (singers' night) - The Topic Folk Club, (at The Bradford Irish Club) Rebecca St, Bradford BD1 2RX After the disappointing cancellation of "Bowie, Bliss and Cockerham" due to the snow earlier this month, Phil visited the Topic tonight. He performed his charity Christmas single, available for sale at £2 a copy. All profits from the single go to "Help for Heroes". Phil also joined BCB Radio for their "Drivetime" show earlier, at 5.30 pm, to talk about the his music and performed the title track of the CD. It as a very cold night outside, but we kept warm inside the Red Shed and sang and laughed.
