Philip Cockerham is a British singer, performer and songwriter. He is based in West Yorkshire, England, where he plays on the northern music scene and beyond. His music could be described as contemporary folk but he also performs traditional folk songs, with choruses for everyone!  He is currently gaining a deserved reputation with his thoughtful, original songs and  his entertaining performances.  read more >

Armed with just an acoustic guitar or one of his other more unusual instruments, Philip Cockerham captivates audiences with his own and other songs, in a range of styles. His relaxed and confident personality instantly engages audiences, putting them at their ease and making them feel they have known him all their lives. On his own, or on the occasions when he is accompanied by double bass player Dave Bowie Jr, an enjoyable night is promised.

His influence has often inspired others to pick up their own music and speak for themselves. Since his emergence in recent years, many people have discovered Philip Cockerham and his songs, and other musicians are now covering songs he has written and recorded.  more >
